Our client is a global leader and is committed to delivering high-quality, safe and innovative products. With a strong presence across Australia and New Zealand, they are seeking an experienced and motivated Compliance Manager ANZ to ensure their products and operations meet the highest safety, legal and regulatory standards.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Product, the Compliance Manager ANZ will be responsible for ensuring all products, appliances, marketing material, and packaging sold or distributed within ANZ meet relevant compliance, regulatory, safety and environmental requirements.
This is a key leadership role, providing expert advice and ensuring all compliance processes and documentation are maintained and communicated effectively across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all products comply with Australian & New Zealand regulatory and safety standards (Gas, Electrical, WaterMark, EMC, APCO, etc.).
- Conduct product compliance assessments and manage product risk management processes.
- Define and assess ANZ product compliance requirements for new and existing products.
- Act as a key stakeholder in product development and improvement projects.
- Consult with technical, sales, service, product management and quality teams on compliance matters.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, approval agencies and customers, providing compliance documentation and reports.
- Maintain and update product compliance records, certifications and declarations.
- Monitor and assess changes to relevant legislation and standards.
- Deliver regular compliance training and participate in standards committees and associations.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in product compliance management.
- Industry experience in leisure, white goods or automotive sectors.
- Strong knowledge of ANZ product compliance legislation and certification processes.
- Experience in risk assessment, validation & test procedures, quality management, sustainability, and environmental standards.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Ability to prioritise, work autonomously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English; fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
- Current Driver’s Licence and valid passport (some travel required).
