An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and capable Payroll & HR Coordinator to be part of their Dandenong South Head Office Team.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, your role will be varied and will include:
- Managing the weekly payroll of both permanent and casual employees
- Liaising with departmental supervisors to sign off time and attendance records
- Coordinating pre-employment checks and generating formal employment contracts
- Updating system to reflect changes due to award & EBA increases, added responsibilities and promotions
- Maintaining and updating HR policy and procedure documentation
- Liaising with Health & Safety team for injury management and return to work plans
- Providing general finance team admin support as required.
This is an autonomous role within a busy organisation and will require:
- Prior experience in a dynamic payroll function in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with award and EBA structure
- Proficiency with Micropay or similar software and experience with an integrated time-sheet system
- Familiarity with MS Office software and while not essential, some exposure to an integrated ERP system would be advantageous
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise to ensure weekly payroll deadlines are met
- Proven communications skills and confidence in dealing with payroll enquiries
- A team orientated approach plus a can-do attitude.
