An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and capable Payroll & HR Coordinator to be part of their Dandenong South Head Office Team.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, your role will be varied and will include:

  • Managing the weekly payroll of both permanent and casual employees
  • Liaising with departmental supervisors to sign off time and attendance records
  • Coordinating pre-employment checks and generating formal employment contracts
  • Updating system to reflect changes due to award & EBA increases, added responsibilities and promotions
  • Maintaining and updating HR policy and procedure documentation
  • Liaising with Health & Safety team for injury management and return to work plans
  • Providing general finance team admin support as required.

This is an autonomous role within a busy organisation and will require:

  • Prior experience in a dynamic payroll function in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with award and EBA structure
  • Proficiency with Micropay or similar software and experience with an integrated time-sheet system
  • Familiarity with MS Office software and while not essential, some exposure to an integrated ERP system would be advantageous
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise to ensure weekly payroll deadlines are met
  • Proven communications skills and confidence in dealing with payroll enquiries
  • A team orientated approach plus a can-do attitude.
